Cancelling a Rx Request from a Prescriber for a Split Rx

The Split Rx functionality is only available in a limited number of New Brunswick stores on PharmaClik Rx 2.7.

A Cancel Rx Request for a Split Rx is applied to all prescriptions in the split. The availability of the responses will depend on the Workflow status of the prescriptions in the split.

To view and action a Cancel Rx Request for a Split Rx:

  1. Navigate to the Workbench > PrescribeIT® > To Do tab.

  2. Select the prescription with the Cancel Rx Request.

  3. Select Process. The PrescribeIT Cancel Rx Request window opens.

  4. Review the information in the Cancel Rx Request and select a Pharmacy Response.

    Select the fields in the image below to learn about the possible responses in the Cancel Rx Request window.

  5. If needed, enter a note in the Note field. Notes will be saved to the Rx Detail Notes tab.

  6. Select OK. The Cancel Rx Request Response is sent to the prescriber.

Response Description
Approved

Approved is available when all prescriptions in the split have been cancelled or do not have any active dispenses against them.

Once selected, all prescriptions in the split will be discontinued.

Revoked

Revoked is available when at least one prescription in the split has been dispensed. Prescriptions must have a status of Complete, Cancelled, Amend, or Hold for Revoked to be selected.

Once selected, all prescriptions in the split will have their repeats revoked and be inactivated.

This is the default response if any prescriptions in the split has repeats.

Denied

Denied is available when at least one prescription in the split has been dispensed or transferred out or if none of the prescriptions in the split have repeats remaining.

Once selected, the prescriptions remain in an Active or Transferred status with no change to the repeats remaining.
